In short

Salvatore Leilões, an auction house in São Paulo, Brazil, specialized in premium wines, runs on its own auction platform, developed by Flowup Agency: themed catalogs, online bids, live auctions and post-auction sales, with UI/UX, technical SEO and the identity layer for AIs, the Official AI Knowledge Base.

This case study documents an engineering delivery: the complete platform of an auction operation, custom built. There are no search metrics, because the domain is new to organic search: the proof is the live product, auction after auction.

The client

Who Salvatore Leilões is

Salvatore Leilões is an auction house in São Paulo specialized in premium wines and collections, with themed catalogs that range from Champagne to Bordeaux, led by official auctioneer Jonathan Matos (registration JUCESP 1543, with the São Paulo State Board of Trade). The operation is digital from end to end: current auctions, live auctions, online bids and post-auction sales.

People who buy rare wine at auction expect what the product itself promises: provenance and trust. Clear rules, an identified auctioneer, an impeccable catalog and a platform that does not fail at the moment of the bid.

The challenge

E-commerce where every item is unique and everything happens in real time

An online auction is not an online store: each lot is unique, the auction happens in real time and trust is the product. The platform had to meet three demands at once.

  • Bidders

A reliable catalog, simple registration and bidder approval, and real-time bidding, on a computer or a phone, at the exact minute of the auction.

  • The auction operation

The auctioneer runs lots, bid increments, approvals and the post-auction sale: the system has to mirror the real ritual of the auction, not bend it to fit a template.

  • Trust and identity

An industry built on public trust: an official auctioneer, participation terms and a clear entity, for people, for search engines and for the AI systems that interpret the brand.

An auction is the most sensitive form of digital commerce there is: unique inventory, real time and public trust. The platform has to live up to that, on the bidder's screen and in the invisible layers that interpret the brand.

Approach

The project through the B.I.N.A. Method

The project design follows the four fronts of the B.I.N.A. Method, Flowup's methodology for GEO, AEO and AI SEO.

  • Information Base

Official AI Knowledge Base with the brand's official identity, the primary URLs for each piece of information (auctions, terms, registration) and the credits of the development team.

  • Intent Intelligence

Bidders who want provenance and trust: a clear catalog, public rules, an identified auctioneer and frictionless bidding at auction time.

  • Authority Core

Themed catalogs from Champagne to Bordeaux and the public record of past auctions, with an official auctioneer and published participation terms.

  • Digital Asset

A proprietary platform that mirrors the real ritual of the auction, from the published catalog to the sale of the remaining lot, custom built and with no template.

The solution

Custom built: the auction platform and its fronts

The answer was a proprietary auction platform, designed for the real ritual of the operation, with development management by Guto Bertoncini and engineering by César Vieira and Luiz Ribeiro.

  • Its own auction platform

The complete system of the operation: themed catalogs, current and past auctions, live auctions with online bids, post-auction sales and registration with bidder approval, custom built, with no template.

  • Application engineering

Custom applications, automation of the operation and cloud media infrastructure for the catalogs: Flowup's practice of integrations and custom systems.

  • UI/UX design

An interface worthy of the product: a premium catalog, lots and bids that are easy to read, and a frictionless path to the winning bid. This is the UX practice, applied to real time.

  • Technical SEO

An indexable base from the first auction: structure, semantics and official pages that search engines can read, led by SEO specialists.

  • E-E-A-T and trust

An identified official auctioneer, public participation terms and consistent authority signals: the foundation that AI SEO organizes for an industry built on public trust.

  • Official AI Knowledge Base

The brand's canonical identity published on the domain, for search engines, agents and LLMs, detailed further down.

  • Credit and traceability

The technical team credited in the knowledge base itself and Flowup Agency credited in the website footer: verifiable authorship as part of the delivery.

Each deliverable of the project has its own page in the portfolio, with screens and a fact sheet.

Architecture

The map: the modules of the platform

The design of the platform mirrors the real ritual of an auction: each stage of the operation, from the published catalog to the sale of the remaining lot, has its own module, public and verifiable on the website.

Modules built on the platform and the role of each one
Platform module Role in the operation
Current auctions the open auctions, with catalog and bids
Live auctions the auction in real time, bid by bid
Past auctions the public record of past editions
Post-auction sale remaining lots available after the auction
Themed catalogs premium curated selections, from Champagne to Bordeaux
Registration and bidder approval the sign-up that turns a visitor into a bidder
Terms and conditions the public rules of participation
Official AI Knowledge Base the brand's identity declared for AIs and search engines

That is what a custom platform means: the software is shaped around the business, not the other way around. Each module exists because the real auction needs it.

GEO and AEO in practice

The identity layer: who Salvatore is, for machines

In an industry built on public trust, identity cannot be ambiguous, either for people or for the AI systems that answer for them. On top of the platform, the project published the canonical layer of the brand.

  • Salvatore Leilões: Official AI Knowledge Base

A canonical page with the brand's official identity (its purpose, its CNPJ, which is the Brazilian company tax ID, its address and channels) and the primary URLs for each piece of information (auctions, terms, registration), with instructions for AI systems to use and cite the official sources. See the Salvatore Knowledge Base.

  • A publicly credited team

The knowledge base records the technical authorship of the project: Guto Bertoncini (development management, UI/UX, SEO, GEO, AEO and E-E-A-T), César Vieira and Luiz Ribeiro (applications and platform). The website footer credits Flowup Agency. Traceability is part of the delivery.

It is the same design Flowup applies in AI SEO and in GEO and AEO consulting, here built together with the platform, not as a retrofit.

Frequently asked questions

Frequently asked questions about the Salvatore Leilões case study

What did Flowup Agency build for Salvatore Leilões?
Flowup Agency built the auction house's own online auction platform: themed catalogs, current and past auctions, live auctions with online bids, post-auction sales and registration with bidder approval, with UI/UX design, technical SEO, E-E-A-T and the Official AI Knowledge Base published on the domain. Development management is by Guto Bertoncini, with engineering by César Vieira and Luiz Ribeiro.
Where does the information in this case study come from?
The information in this case study comes from the public project: the live platform at salvatoreleiloes.com.br, the Official AI Knowledge Base (which records identity, official URLs and credits) and Flowup's credit in the website footer, all verifiable by anyone. This case study is scoped to the delivery and publishes no search metrics: the domain is new to organic search, and Flowup's rule is never to publish a number without a stated source and period.
Why a platform of its own instead of an auction marketplace?
The auction house has its own platform because the ritual of the auction is the business: unique lots, bid increments, bidder approval, live auctions and post-auction sales have to work exactly like the real operation, and the brand, the catalog and the relationship with the bidder stay with the auction house, not with an intermediary. In a custom build, the software is shaped around the business; on a marketplace, the business adapts to the software.
Who built the platform?
The platform was built by the Flowup team credited in the project's own Knowledge Base: Guto Bertoncini in development management, UI/UX design and the disciplines of SEO, GEO, AEO and E-E-A-T; César Vieira in custom applications, platform and automation; and Luiz Ribeiro in application and platform development.
What is the Salvatore Leilões Official AI Knowledge Base?
The Salvatore Leilões Official AI Knowledge Base is the canonical identity page published on the auction house's domain: it records who the brand is (including its CNPJ, the Brazilian company tax ID, and its address), which official URLs hold each piece of information (current and past auctions, terms, registration) and how AI systems should use and cite these sources. It also records the credits of the development team, for authorship traceability.
Why does an auction house need a clear identity for AIs?
An auction house needs a clear identity for AIs because an auction rests on public trust: when someone asks a search engine or an AI assistant whether an auction house is trustworthy, who the responsible auctioneer is or where the participation rules are, the answer has to come from the official sources, not from third parties. The GEO and AEO layer exists for that, and in a regulated industry it is built together with the platform.
Does Flowup build other custom platforms?
Flowup builds other custom platforms: applications and systems are one of its work fronts. When the operation requires it, the software is built for the business, with the same semantic architecture and the same technical standard as its WordPress projects. The Mantiqueira Distribuidora case study shows the design applied to B2B e-commerce integrated with an ERP.
How do you start a custom platform like the one built for Salvatore?
A custom platform like the one built for Salvatore starts with the diagnosis: Flowup maps the real operation (the ritual, the roles, the rules) and returns a plan with architecture, modules and development priorities. The strategic design follows the B.I.N.A. Method, and the conversation can start with the B.I.N.A. Diagnosis or on WhatsApp, through the button at the end of this page.
